Test & Review

For the second year running Fischer offers the RC4 The Curv DTX 2018 model, a high-level All-Round ski, which offers technologies and materials derived from the World Cup but oriented to use outside the racing gates. The brand promoted the ski development following the input of a team consisting of former ski champions: the Austrians Michael Von Grünigen and Hans Knaus together with the Italian downhill specialist, Kristian Ghedina. Their precious collaboration has surely contributed to making the Fischer RC4 The Curv DTX 2018 one of the most successful products of the last seasons.

The Skialo team tested Fischer RC4 The Curv DTX 2018 on the local resort's slopes, in Mottolino and Carosello ski areas. The ski is very versatile, with great ease of use in different curve arcs, from short to large radiuses. It's more oriented towards comfort and fun, rather than aggressive skiing and does its best in medium turns, where it demonstrates excellent carving and stability.

Recommended for: expert or advanced skiers, looking for fun and performance, without getting to the end of the day with painful legs.

Ski features

The Triple Radius shape of the Fischer RC4 The Curv DTX 2018 enables better control and power transmission throughout the entire turn: starting with exact turn initiation and the precise gliding phase on edge up to the final acceleration at the end of the turn. Diagotex™ is an innovative carbon grid for top torsional stability. It allows dynamic turn behaviour and with its bright yellow World Cup base makes this ski so unique.

On-Piste Rocker: shorter contact length of the ski ensures that turn initiation is more comfortable and effortless, 72-mm waist is perfect for quick edge-to-edge cross. Construction also includes a wide, triangular tip and a flat tail. Bindings are fixed on the Racetrack plates: free flex action, best possible piste contact, direct power transfer.
