The ski pass is the card that gets you through the lift gates. In Livigno one pass covers the whole ski area on both sides of the valley: Mottolino on one side, Carosello 3000 on the other. The price depends on the date and your age, so check which period your holiday falls in before you buy.

Adult ski pass prices for 2026/27

  • Promotional period: €51.50 a day, €258.50 for 6 days
  • Regular season: €66 a day, €331 for 6 days
  • High season: €74.50 a day, €374.50 for 6 days

A half day is valid in the morning until 13:00 or in the afternoon from 12:30 and costs €41, €53 or €59 depending on the period. On top of these prices there is a €5 deposit for the card.

Other types of pass

  • Multi-day: 2 to 14 consecutive days. For 14 days an adult pays €414 to €602.
  • 10 non-consecutive days: €553 for an adult, non-refundable.
  • Season pass: €980 adult, €832 Youth and Senior, €490 Junior.

Where to buy it

The quickest way is the Skipass Livigno online shop, where you can also top up a card you already have. In town there are ticket offices at the lift stations, for example at San Rocco for Carosello 3000 and at the foot of the Mottolino gondola.

Season passes, passes of 9 days or more and reduced fares need a photo and ID: keep it with you on the slopes too, as it can be checked.

How to spend less

  • Baby Free: children born in 2019 or later ski free with an adult who buys a pass of the same length. One per adult, with ID for the child.
  • Junior -50%: children born from 2011 pay half the adult fare all season. Prices are rounded, so the exact figure is the one in the price list.
  • One4Family: for parents with a child up to 3 years old. A multi-day pass of at least 6 days that the two take turns using, at 20% above the normal fare. Both must be at the ticket office.
  • Saturday special: €43.50, €56 or €61 for an adult depending on the period. Not valid on Saturday 26 December, Saturday 2 January and Saturday 27 March.
  • Groups: 5% off from 20 people, except from 26 December to 8 January.
  • People with disabilities: 30% off with a disability rating of 50% or more.

If you stay in Livigno early or late in the season the pass may be included in your stay: see our article on Skipass Free. With a valid multi-day pass you also get 50% off passes in Engadin St. Moritz and San Bernardino.

Helmet and insurance

On Italian slopes you need two things besides the pass. Since the 2025/26 season a helmet has been mandatory at any age, with fines of up to €150. Since 2022 you also need third-party liability insurance, which you can often add when you buy the pass. The other rules are in our article on the 10 FIS rules.

Pass sorted, now the gear

With the pass in your pocket, all that is left is skis, boots and a helmet. At our rental points in Doss, San Rocco and Carosello you collect them a few steps from the lifts, and booking online saves you 20% on the list price.
